Weekend Cat Blogging --Lucky the Hunter
It is weekend cat blogging at Eatstuff. Kiri's mum is up and feeling better. Stop by and see all the cat round-up from all over the world!First thing he did was get rid of the horrible sounding bell that mum had around his neck (so that bird catching would not happen) then he trained all night long for weeks on end like Rocky...jabbing and running, jumping rope...
Finally he is a hunter and caught his own bird, not some donation from a feral cat in the alley. I heard a meow of rejoice or of pain, I was not sure so I ran out the door, it was 9pm and there was Lucky in the garden with his kill--but the little pew-pew was not dead, still alive and trying to escape life's most unforntunate fate.

nows where he is supposed to eat. And he likes his food clean, here he is giving the bird a bath...After snapping these photos, I wrestled the little bird free from his fangs, but it was too late, he was bloody and damaged beyond repair.I called to my husband and said "you have to take this bird outside and put it out of its misery". He asked how, and why he has to do the killing on this farm...and I said "hit it over the head with a rock!" "Just kill it!" I screamed. Good thing we don't have neighbors yet! (only during the summer since it's a transient beach town)

Kiri would love to hare Luckys catch, he hasn't been so lucky yet, unless flies count that is ;)

Thanks ;) He started with flies, those are his favorite snack around the house! Kiri is so adorable, he has the best face and looks so soft!
